American Stage is now hiring three candidates for their Acting & Education Apprenticeship Program.
The Acting & Education Apprentices serve as American Stage’s Touring Outreaching Company, performing our annual 10 week school tour of Familia de Flamingos throughout the Tampa Bay area as well as performing arts centers through South Florida. The program provides apprentices with a comprehensive knowledge of the inner workings of a nonprofit regional theatre with a focus on theatre arts education and teaching artistry. Other duties will include working in EVERY aspect of operations including front of house, box office, marketing, development, special events, artistic, company management, finance, and community engagement. This is a non-equity part time position (30 hrs. week after 10 week tour) that begins January 13th and ends August 1st 2025. The weekly is $550 (taxed), no health benefits, must be local with housing, bilingual (Spanish/English) skills a plus, bachelor's degree in theatre arts preferred or 2-3 years performing in local regional theatre. Love working with children is a must. Driver’s License a plus. Must have reliable transportation to and from the theatre. Background checks are required.
