- Job Title: Gallery Curator
- Location: Onsite/Flexible

- Salary Range: $68,000 - $75,000
Key Responsibilities
The Gallery Curator role involves developing and implementing exhibitions and programming that serve visitors, residents, artists, and the arts community, fostering capacity, collaboration, and placemaking for Pinellas County.
Develop and implement a vision for exhibitions and on-campus programming.
Identify potential artists/exhibitions, collaborate with artists, curators, exhibit designers, and partners.
Oversee planning, development, logistics, installation scheduling, and vendor management.
Manage expense budget for exhibitions and programs; engage partners and sponsors.
Manage the development of the Creative Pinellas Arts & Culture Visitor Center/Art Store to ensure representation of regional artists. Develop events, merch drops, and collabs. Maintain inventory and sales data.
Produce and analyze exhibition-related programming and educational materials.
Support diversity and reach of programs and exhibitions both online and onsite.
Lead design and development of engagement and learning opportunities for all ages.
Work closely across all departments to ensure efficient and timely flow of exhibition and program content.
Communicate plans and activities to the Creative Pinellas team, board members, and stakeholders.
Required Key Skills and Qualifications

Knowledge of collection management, art handling, and current museum practices.
Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in Fine Arts, Museum Studies, Cultural Studies, Art History, or related field; or equivalent recent curatorial experience.
Preferred 5-7 years of experience in Curator role.
Special Requirements:
Hybrid in-person/remote work model.
Ability to work evening and weekend hours as required.
Some travel required.
