The Shirley Proctor Puller Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to “advance literacy and help close the achievement gap for students in the at-risk community of South St. Petersburg, FL.” All applicants must have passion for the mission as well as a desire to work to develop holistic solutions that create success for children and families in the community.

The most critical instructional position within the SPPF: M.A.S.T.R. Kids Program, the Literacy teacher is directly responsible for utilizing i-Ready assessment results to guide and direct the learning experiences of each student in a class, group or individual setting. The goal is to have each student achieve and maintain grade level reading abilities.
