2019 SHINE Mural Festival - Artist: Taj Tenfold

The City of St. Petersburg's City of the Arts (formerly Arts and Culture) Grant application period is now open. The grant provides funding opportunities for eligible non-profit, arts & culture focused organizations with budgets of over $50,001. City of the Arts Grant changes include:

  • Eligibility requirements have been clarified.
  • Funding is based on the organization's quality of programming or project (if submitting for a Specific Cultural Project).
  • All organizations are eligible for up to $20,000 in funding.
  • Funding is not based on reimbursement. Funds will be available after agreement is executed.
  • Two in-person workshops will take place to assist applying organizations.
  • May 1 at Florida CraftArt - 5:30pm
  • May 29 at the Studio@620 - 5:30pm
  • Updated budget worksheets and rubric.

Applications will be accepted until June 13, 2025, at 5 p.m.

Eligibility

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Be registered with the Florida Secretary of State as a non-profit organization.
  • Be a tax exempt 501(c)3 organization whose primary mission is arts or culture programming.
  • Be in existence and provide services to the residents of the City for at least one year.
  • Have no outstanding debts to the City of St Petersburg.
  • The organization must be located in St. Petersburg OR provide more than 50% of its arts/cultural programming within the City St. Pete, for the benefit of St. Pete residents and its visitors, OR have a history, science or children’s museum that provides on-going arts/culture programming, performances or exhibitions for the benefit of St. Pete residents and its visitors.
  • Have operations more than $50,001 for the most recently completed fiscal year at the time of the application.

Grant-funded activities cannot begin before October 1, 2025, or extend beyond September 30, 2026.
