Annual Juried Members Show
The Annual Juried Members Show celebrates the incredible breadth and depth of talent within Art Center Sarasota’s vibrant member community. Unbound by a theme, this exhibition offers an open invitation into the diverse creative worlds of our artists. From bold abstractions to detailed realism, and across a wide array of mediums—including painting, sculpture, fiber, collage, and mixed media—this show is a dynamic snapshot of contemporary artistic expression.
What sets this exhibition apart is its inclusivity: every member artist who submits is guaranteed a place in the show. This democratic approach highlights our commitment to accessibility and artistic equity, while creating a rich and varied visual dialogue. The Annual Juried Members Show is not only a celebration of individual vision, but a powerful reflection of the collective creativity that defines the ACS community.
This year, in honor of our Centennial, the exhibition expands to fill all four of our gallery spaces—making it a joyful and powerful way to celebrate 100 years of creativity, community, and the enduring spirit of art in Sarasota.
Meet the Juror, Willem van Osnabrugge:
Willem van Osnabrugge grew up on the outskirts of Amsterdam, Holland. Although he excelled in the arts from a young age, he pursued a professional career in science, working as a creative perfumer while maintaining art as a personal passion.
In 1985, Willem moved to the United States, living and working near New York, Baltimore, and Chicago. After retiring, he settled in Sarasota, where he quickly became active in the local arts community—first by helping install exhibitions at Art Center Sarasota, later serving as its President. He also volunteered as a docent at The Ringling Museum for over 15 years, sharing his deep appreciation for art and art history with visitors.
Today, Willem focuses on painting in pastels and oils. His work has received numerous awards and recognition in Florida, England, and Holland.
Submissions are welcome in all media including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, mixed media, digital arts, sculpture and video.

- All artworks must be submitted online for jurying. Awards will be chosen by the juror in person when all works are installed at Art Center Sarasota.

- Exhibition Dates: Thursday, January 22 - Saturday, February 21, 2026
- Online Submissions: Tuesday, September 9 - Sunday, December 7, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: Artists will be notified by email of their submission status no later than Wednesday, December 17 by 5pm.
- In Person Receiving Days for Accepted Work: Tuesday, January 12 - Wednesday, January 13, 10am-5pm.
- Shipping Accepted Work: Mailed Artwork must arrive between Monday, January 11 - Wednesday, January 13. Any work that is delivered after this date will not be included in the exhibition.
- Award Winners Notified: no later than Wednesday, January 21 at 5pm.
- Opening Reception: Thursday, January 22, 5-7pm.
- Artwork Pickup In Person: Monday, February 23 & Tuesday, February 24, 2026, 10am-5pm
