Tampa Bay high school students are invited to submit original, unpublished short stories on the theme of “time travel.”
Entries will be judged by a panel of experts including:
- O. Henry Prize-winning author of the time-travel novella Time's Agent, Brenda Peynado
- Sidewise Award-winning author of the time-travel story “Something Real,” Rick Wilber
- Asimov’s Readers Award-winning author of the Rhymer time-travel trilogy, Gregory Frost
The Tampa Bay Times Newspaper in Education Science Fiction and Fantasy Writing Award seeks to nurture and recognize the creativity and talent of young writers in the Tampa Bay area. It was established to encourage aspiring authors to explore the genres of science fiction and fantasy and to experiment with the short story format.
