Practically Pikasso is seeking a Ceramics Studio Marketing Intern for our expanding Clay Corner. The internship is a dynamic experience that provides the practical learning of developing and working in a clay studio. Internships are geared toward college students focused on marketing with an interest in and experience with clay.
Marketing Duties
- - Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing strategies
- - Collaborate with the leadership team on various projects
- - Conduct market research and analyze trends
- - Support social media management efforts
- - Assist in the development of marketing campaigns
- - Help with content creation for digital marketing initiatives
- - Participate in email marketing campaigns
Ceramics Duties
- - Prepping for clay hand building and wheel classes
- - Cleaning up from clay hand building and wheel classes
- - Reclaiming clay
- - Wedging and prepping clay for classes and events
- - Assist in the development of class samples
- - Various studio cleaning tasks
- - Glazing
- - Loading and unloading kilns
Marketing Skills
- - Proficiency in Canva is a plus
- - Familiarity with marketing automation tools
- - Basic understanding of advertising principles
- - Strong interest in social media management
- - Exposure to digital marketing concepts
- - Understanding of email marketing best practices
- - Interest in performance marketing strategies
Ceramics Skills
- - Familiarity with community clay studios
- - Basic understanding of clay hand building and wheel throwing
- - Strong interest in the operational side of a ceramics business
- - Basic knowledge of kiln fired art
Time Commitment
Interns should be prepared to work four hours per week, one day a week during a 10-week or 12-week term in fall, winter, spring, or summer, for a total of 40 or 48 hours. This commitment is important to both the educational value of your experience as well as the stability of the program.
Internship Benefits
In exchange for their work, interns receive access to Practically Pikasso clay workshops, access to open studio hours for wheel throwing, dedicated shelf space, and free access to all studio glazes, underglazes and firings. Clay available for purchase at a discounted rate.
