Find your pride while getting lost in the streets of St. Pete on a SHINE mural scavenger hunt hosted by your favorite drag performer, freeFall Theatre’s Matthew McGee. Follow video clues from one mural to another in search of Cinderella’s missing stiletto. Download the free PixelStix app and decipher the clues as your Fairy Dragmother recounts the tale of Cinderella’s wild night out. Find the lost stiletto for a chance to win the grand prize, a 2-night stay at the new Tru by Hilton Hotel Downtown St. Petersburg!

Things to Know:

  • The scavenger hunt can be completed individually or as a team. Teams are recommended for documentation purposes but not required
  • Teams can be a carload up to 6 people or a bike crew of up to 6. Biking is recommended to save on parking fees. Expect to bike between 5-10 miles
  • Please assign one (1) team captain who will be the primary contact person in the event that your team wins
  • Your team captain must be the only person on the team using their phone to access PixelStix clues otherwise we will not be able to verify you’ve completed the scavenger hunt 
  • The scavenger hunt may be completed at any time during St. Pete Pride’s Arts & Music week, starting at 9 am June 12 and ending at 6 pm June 19. Please allow 3-4 hours to complete the course. Daylight hours are recommended for photos and social media challenges
  • Every team that completes the scavenger hunt will be entered to win the grand prize. The winner will be randomly selected. 1 entry per team
  • Winners announced June 25th
  • Additional prizes will be awarded for social media challenges 
  • If your team completes the hunt, you’ll end at a local Brewery. Keep an eye out for a coupon and assign a designated driver

Social Media Challenges:

  • Anyone from your team can post to social media (Facebook or Instagram) for the challenges but you must hashtag #ONCEUPONASHINE and your team name to qualify  
  • Our panel of volunteer judges will select their favorite photos/videos to win prizes for the social media challenges
  • Spoiler alerts! Teams will have a week to make the same journey, so don’t be a villain and spoil the escapade for the other teams by posting all the answers

Grand Prize: (All teams that complete the hunt will be entered to win the grand prize)
2-night stay at Tru by Hilton Downtown St. Petersburg. Your stay includes complimentary breakfast and valet parking ($430 value)
