St. Petersburg’s Second Saturday ArtWalk. Every month we bring five distinct Arts Districts together to welcome enthusiastic art lovers. ArtWalk has become a vibrant monthly celebration, where galleries and studios open their doors on a Saturday night and friends gather to explore new exhibits. We provide funding, organization, marketing and free trolleys — supporting a regional economic strategy. (Up to 4,000 visits every month!)
Our annual benefit for the arts at the end of January, which funds development opportunities and grants for artists, and a wide range of free arts festivals. The MUSE Arts Awards shine a spotlight on artists and arts supporters who inspire and guide St. Petersburg as a thriving City of the Arts.
SHINE! Mural Festival – Coming up October 4-14, 2017 the SHINE! Festival transforms our city streets into a curated, open-air museum showcasing large scale murals painted by local, national and world-renowned artists. Mural tours cover downtown St. Pete and the surrounding art districts.
Celebrating St. Petersburg’s national reputation as an arts and cultural destination, we’ll present the SPF17 Festival of the Arts throughout September. SPF17 includes a kaleidoscope of arts events and activities for all ages, produced by local and national artists, arts organizations and creative businesses.
Our ArtBeat e-newsletter reaches artists, arts supporters and creative organizations countywide with essential news and information, including opportunities for working artists, grants, job postings, calls for volunteers and more.
Funding Futures, our Student Arts Opportunity Grant Program is the Arts Alliance’s newest effort. This scholarship program is offered to outstanding students with financial need, to pay for summer arts programs, individual instruction, musical instruments and arts supplies.
The Individual Artist Grant Program was established in 2015. The $1000 awards provide financial assistance to working artists living in the City of St. Petersburg, for unique community engagement projects across all media.
Our Arts Business Academy offers professional development programs to working artists and non-profit administrators. We help to build creative businesses with practical, focused workshops including a 6-week summer certificate program in partnership with the USFSP College of Business.
The Arts Alliance established an Arts Endowment in 2015 at the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, to support St. Petersburg’s arts and cultural non-profits. As this fund continues to grow, the earnings will be used to support our arts programs.
