Carlos Lopez brings his extensive education and gemstone expertise to the RockShop experience. Working on Jeweler’s Row in the South Wabash area of Chicago alongside some of the finest metalsmiths from around the world, Carlos honed his skill for fine jewelry making.

A graduate Gemologist, Lopez earned his accreditation at the GIA in Manhattan, where he also worked in the 47th Street Diamond District. His passion for travel and gemstones took him to Florence, Italy where he studied the art of jewelry design at the Italian Jewelry Academy, Le Arti Orafe. During his studies there, he had the opportunity to work with artisans from the famous Ponte Vecchio Bridge.
