I am a classical oil painter in the style of the Old Masters but with a contemporary twist. I paint still life using a single source of natural light in the hope that the dramatic use of light and shadow in my paintings can transform ordinary objects into something extraordinary.
I paint the things I love best – cakes, cupcakes, ice cream cones and candy in a series called This is How I Got So Fat. I find that almost everyone loves a painting of a big fluffy cake.
I studied at the Art Students League of New York and have shown work through galleries in New York and Florida as well as at the Temple Beth El Art Fair.
My studio at the ArtsXchange in St Petersburg is open to visitors every second Saturday of the month and also by appointment. You can contact me at [email protected].
