Using metals and chemistry, Javier Dones incorporates copper with pigments, enamels and other metals to develop wall art with three-dimensional elements and textures.

He finds his inspiration in nature and the process of re-connecting her with the urban human.

Javier Tomas Dones was born in Puerto Rico.  He is a visual artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico.  Moving to St. Petersburg in 1992, he established his studio at the ArtLofts@FloridaCraftArt.
