Project Description

The Historic Manhattan Casino Mural project is supported by the City of St. Petersburg, in partnership with the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance and No Good Deeds Art. The project is seeking qualifications from individual artists or artist teams to create a mural celebrating the rich history of the Historic Manhattan Casino, the Deuces Live District and the contributions of Black Americans in St. Petersburg, Florida.

This mural initiative seeks to create a meaningful work of art that honors not only the significance of the historic Black neighborhood but to also pay homage to the Black History Matters mural previously located near the Carter G. Woodson African American Museum.
