The Taste of Creation by Isac Gres is a surrealist mural created for the exterior of The Melting Pot. The work draws inspiration from the concept of the “melting pot” itself—where diverse elements come together to create something richer and more complex.

Deeply influenced by the legacy of Salvador Dalí and the cultural identity of St. Petersburg—home to the renowned The Dalí Museum, one of only a few Dalí museums in the world—Gres integrates surrealist imagery with symbolic references to life in St.Petersburg.

Through flowing forms and dreamlike elements, the mural represents the fusion of passion for art and culture that defines St. Petersburg. In The Taste of Creation, Gres presents his personal surrealist vision of a city where creativity and flavor continuously blend, dissolve, and reform—much like ingredients in a melting pot.
