Fine Arts Director (Partnership Opportunity)

Phi Phi Artland is seeking an experienced, motivated, and entrepreneurial Fine Arts Director to lead and grow our Fine Arts Department.
This leadership role is ideal for someone passionate about arts education, community engagement, and building meaningful creative programs. Rather than a traditional management position, this is a partnership opportunity, with compensation based on an agreed-upon percentage of the department’s performance. Any classes or workshops taught by the director are compensated separately at an hourly rate.
Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the Fine Arts Department.
* Develop and manage the schedule for classes, workshops, camps, and special events.
* Recruit, mentor, and coordinate art instructors.
* Create new programs and initiatives that expand the department.
* Increase enrollment and grow community participation.
* Collaborate on marketing, promotions, and outreach.
* Build relationships with local artists, schools, organizations, and community partners.
* Ensure a high-quality experience for students and instructors.
* Oversee supplies, planning, and general department operations.
Qualifications
* Experience in arts education, arts administration, program management, or studio leadership.
* Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growing creative programs.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating with the Phi Phi Artland team.
* Experience with marketing, community outreach, or event planning.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position. Administrative responsibilities may be completed remotely, while regular on-site presence is expected for classes, workshops, instructor support, meetings, and special events. Some evening and weekend availability is required.
Compensation
* Department Leadership: Partnership-based compensation through an agreed-upon percentage of the Fine Arts Department’s performance.
* Teaching: Hourly compensation for classes and workshops taught.
