THE DOCTOR — ETHICS IN THE THEATER
HerStoriesTold presents a staged reading of Robert Icke’s acclaimed The Doctor, directed by Cory Barrow, on November 19 at 5:30 p.m. at The Dalí Museum.
A teenage girl is dying. A Catholic priest wants to enter her room. Her doctor refuses. Who is right? What begins as a medical decision ignites a provocative examination of ethics, religion, race, identity and power.
The reading launches HerStoriesTold’s new “Ethics in the Theater” series and will be followed by a moderated audience conversation exploring the ethical questions raised by the play.
