New College of Florida invites applications for a Fiction Writer-in-Residence beginning August 2022 (Fall Term: August – December and Spring Term: February-May) with the potential for reappointment for the 2023-2024 academic year.

The successful candidate will have:

Published at least one published novel, novella, collection of short stories or publications equivalent to a published book and significant publication in other venues.
Two years’ experience teaching creative writing, which may include instruction as a graduate student and a strong commitment to playing an active role in NCF's college community.

The Writer-in-Residence will also design and teach two semester-length writing courses per term (four total) and give at least two public readings (which may include students). New College of Florida is particularly interested in candidates who can teach foundational and cross-genre courses for NCF's small and nimble creative writing program.
