Keep an Eye Out for the Artist Enclave Historic Kenwood

Artwork by Paul Barrera

Cheers to the Artist Enclave Historic Kenwood for the eye-catching way they’re spreading the word about the artists in this vibrant neighborhood — using images by member artists to decorate the finials above the street signs you see as you walk or drive by.

This project is a Historic Kenwood Public Arts Initiative. Artists from the Artist Enclave answered a juried Request for Proposals. The project was funded by Dining For Art and a Neighborhood Matching Grant from the City of St. Petersburg.

Kenwood and the Old Southeast neighborhoods were each declared an “Artist Enclave” by the St. Pete City Council in 2014. This enables artists living there to teach classes and sell artwork from their homes.
