The USFSP College of Marine Science invites artists to experience how scientists view the world with the hopes of inspiring a new piece of work.
On November 13 from 7-9 p.m. the College of Marine Science is hosting Art & Science Night.
Artists will have the chance to look under microscopes at living plankton, see the deadly beauty of a virus infecting a cell, paint with live bacteria and view the magnificent layers of sediment cores.
After this event, artists will have over a month to work on their pieces, which will be shown at an art exhibit on January 8.
All levels of artists are welcome.
Details and an online signup form can be found here.
