Florida Humanities Council – Community Project Grants

Deadline: July 15 at noon

The Florida Humanities Council is proud to award Community Project Grants to local nonprofits and public institutions in support of the planning and implementation of humanities-rich programs.

With funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities, these transformational grants provide up to $5,000 for vital humanities projects that meet the needs of local communities and deepen our understanding of the people, places and ideas that shape the Sunshine State.

Since 1971, the Florida Humanities Council has awarded more than $8 million in support of statewide cultural resources and public programs strongly rooted in the humanities. These programs preserve Florida’s diverse history and heritage, promote civic engagement and community dialogue, and provide opportunities to reflect on the future of Florida.
