Call to Artists – Peace Love Goats

Deadline: June 30

Peace-Love-Goats is a philanthropic art project where 100 cast stone goats will each be painted to raise money for a different charitable cause.

This goat casting/statue was commissioned by Athletes and Causes and created by Scott Joseph Moore, a sculptor out of Port Charlotte who recently relocated his studio to the Tampa Bay area. This is a one-of-a-kind statue that will not be used for any other purpose and only 100 of these castings will be created.

For a series of goat statues representing human trafficking, we are seeking proposals from artists that include a description or sketch of their concept.

An honorarium of $500 will be paid to the chosen artist, but we are seeking an artist that shares in our passion for this cause and understands the importance of this first example for the statues to follow, which will be painted not only by Tampa Bay artists but by artists from across the country.

You can email proposals to Rob Canton at rob@athletesandcauses.org.
